Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 2026-01-30
Rushboard is provided by Peng Li ("we," "our," or "us"). This policy explains how we handle information when you use the Rushboard app on macOS and iOS.
Summary
- We do not collect analytics or crash reports.
- We do not create accounts or collect email addresses.
- We do not upload HealthKit data or your FIT/GPX files to our servers.
- We do not sell or share personal data.
Information We Access
The app processes the following data locally on your device:
- Health data from Apple Health (via HealthKit), if you grant permission.
- Fitness files you import (FIT/GPX).
- Video files you import and export.
This data stays on your device unless you explicitly export or share it.
Weather Data (Third-Party Service)
If you use weather-related features, the app requests historical weather from the Open-Meteo API. The request includes:
- Approximate location coordinates and timestamps related to the workout.
We do not send names, email addresses, or account identifiers because we do not collect them.
In-App Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple StoreKit. We do not receive your payment details.
Local Network and Bluetooth
The iOS app can send workout data to the macOS app using local network and Bluetooth. This transfer happens directly between your devices.
Data Retention
We do not store your data on our servers. All files and data remain on your device unless you export or share them yourself.
Your Choices
- You can deny HealthKit permission and still use non-HealthKit features.
- You can delete imported files at any time.
- You can disable weather features if you do not want location-based requests to Open-Meteo.
Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. The updated version will be posted at the same URL with a new effective date.
